Oracy – Spoken Language

INTENT

Every child will leave our school confident and able to use spoken language in different contexts and with different audiences. 

IMPLEMENTATION

Each lesson will contain an element of teaching, recalling and using in context, subject specific vocabulary. 

Each lesson will include elements of speaking and listening with others. 

Through our project with Voice 21, a range of teaching strategies will be used across the curriculum to promote in speaking and listening from nursery through to year 2. 

IMPACT

Children will listen, understand and use of wide range of vocabulary which is subject specific. Our children will communicate with a range of audiences with confidence and share their learning. 

This vocabulary will aid and improve their written work.
